Air Travel
Sacramento International Airport, a major commercial airport, is northwest of Sacramento about 30 minutes from the SFC venue. Airlines servicing the Sacramento International Airport can be found here.
The SFC should be wrapped up by 3:00pm on Monday, September 1st (assuming no playoff) so book your departure times to allow sufficient time for return ground travel, rental return and post-9/11 security delays at the airport.
Directions & Location
From Southern Cal & Phoenix, AZ
Proceed through LA up I-5 to Sacramento; then take CAPITAL CITY FRWY/US-50 east for 2 miles; then take I-80 Business/ CAPITAL CITY FRWY towards Reno north for about 6 miles; then take Fulton Ave exit and turn left on Auburn Ave, then left back on Fulton over freeway into the Haggin Oaks complex.
From Northern Cal (& Sacramento Airport)
Proceed south on I-5 to I-80; then north (left) towards Reno on I-80 for 8 miles; then take the Watt Ave exit (turn right) and then the I-80 Business ramp to merge on to the Capital City/I-80 Bus FWY west for a tad under a mile; then take Fulton Ave exit and then right at the end of the off ramp into the Haggin Oaks complex.
From Reno & All Points East
Proceed on I-80 west to Sacramento; then take Capital City/I-80 Bus. FWY for 1.5 miles; then take Fulton Ave exit and then right at the end of off ramp into the Haggin Oaks complex.
From Modesto/Fresno/Bakersfield
Proceed north on 99 FWY to Sacramento; Stay in Left Lanes and freeway continues north on Capital City/I-80 Bus FWY towards Reno for about 7 miles; then take Fulton Ave exit and turn left on Auburn Ave, then left on Fulton over freeway into the Haggin Oaks complex.
From San Francisco & Bay Area
Proceed east on I-80 towards Sacramento and then I-80 towards Reno; then continue on I-80 past I-5 for 8 miles; then take the Watt Ave exit (turn right) and then the I-80 Business ramp to merge on to the Capital City/I-80 Bus FWY west for a tad under a mile; then take Fulton Ave exit and then right at the end of off ramp into the Haggin Oaks complex.

The average high temperature at Haggin Oaks within the late August through early September time period has been 91° with the average low about 60°. It is reasonable to expect likely temperatures during tournament play to be between 65° and 95° depending on tee time. The possibility of rainfall in Sacramento is virtually non-existent during Labor Day weekend. Late Summer in Sacramento is warm but with relatively dry humidity. Proper shorts are permitted and recommended so plan attire needs accordingly. The course elevation is at close to sea level in the Central Valley of California. During the SFC, sunrise will be about 6:35am and sunset about 7:35am. The first SFC tee time each day is 7:00am and the last tee time during the first two rounds is 12:50pm.
