The Sacramento Golf Council, in conjunction with the Junior Golf Association of Northern California (JGANC), presents the 2018 State Fair Junior Championship for boys ages 7-18 and girls ages 7-11 at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex on Saturday August 25, 2018. This is a JGANC points event. Boys age 18 may participate if they have not started college prior to August 25, 2018.
The tournament will be 18 holes of stroke play for ages 12-18, and 9 holes for ages 7-11, with tee times stating at 8:00 AM.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in each of the 7-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15 and 16-18 divisions. There will also be a prize for the overall boys champion - the low score from the 14-15 and 16-18 divisions. The overall champion will have his name inscribed on a perpetual trophy. In the event of a tie for the overall boys champion (from the 14-15 and 16-18 age groups), there will be a playoff, as well as ties for first place in each of the 12-13, 14-15 and 16-18 age groups. All other ties will be broken in accordance to USGA Rule 33-6.
The entry fee for JGANC members is $72 for ages 12 to 18 and $42 for ages 7-11, and includes green fees, lunch and awards.
The entry fee for non-JGANC members is $82 for ages 12 to 18 and $52 for ages 7-11, and includes green fees, lunch and awards.
